Marco Galasso
Marco Galasso graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Pavia in 2023.
During his studies, he completed an internship at Sismica360, focusing on the seismic vulnerability assessment of unreinforced masonry buildings affected by seismic risks induced by gas extraction from onshore fields, employing a multi-level procedure.
He is currently collaborating with Sismica360 on the seismic assessment of existing buildings in the Groningen region of the Netherlands as part of a project aimed at managing seismic risk caused by gas extraction from onshore fields. His work includes analyzing unreinforced masonry structures and timber buildings and, when necessary, designing retrofitting interventions to improve their seismic safety.
