We provided a consultancy for the structural design and the installation of the display case for Raphael’s Cartoon for the ‘School of Athens’, on display in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana of Milan since 2019. The display case designed and built by Goppion to respect the delicate conservative constraints of the work and, at the same time, to allow it to be viewed without interference, is the largest single-door showcase in the world with a 9-m-long screen that can be opened by means of hinges on its short side.
