Alessandro Desimoni
Alessandro Desimoni graduated with honours in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Genoa and furthered his education through by attending numerous courses for professional engineers.
Since 2003 he has been active as a freelance structural engineer. His expertise lies in the seismic design and nonlinear analysis of steel, reinforced concrete and composite SRC civil, industrial, and infrastructural structures.
Over the last years, he has been working on the seismic vulnerability of existing reinforced concrete buildings and steel buildings, gaining experience on topics ranging from in-situ inspections to structural assessment, employing linear and nonlinear analysis methods.
He has also delivered university lectures on SRC composite structures and, since 2012, he has been teaching courses to professional engineers on steel, concrete and composite SRC structures, using numerical finite element methods (FEM).
Since 2006 he has been a member of the Structures Division Committee of the Order of Engineers in the Province of Alessandria, which he has coordinateed since 2013. In 2023 he become a member of CTA Council.
Alessandro Desimoni collaborates with Sismica360, providing consultancy on the seismic vulnerability of existing reinforced concrete buildings and the numerical analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
